My favourite part of the PANDORA Disney Thumper charm is his cute cotton ball tail! It is clearly visible from the back of the charm, along with Thumper’s puffed out, furry cheeks. As with the Bambi charm, the ‘PANDORA’ and ‘S925 ALE’ hallmarks are on one side of the bale of the Disney Thumper charm. Therefore it is not necessary to enlarge the charm with a support base beneath Thumper.
The PANDORA Disney Thumper charm is slightly chunkier than the Bambi charm, this is partly due to his pose and also the fact that Thumper is a little plump in comparison to Bambi. The Thumper charm features intricate details such as his fluffy white chest and big bashful eyes. Other PANDORA Disney dangle charms such as the Tinker Bell’s Dress charm (792138EN93), have the characters name etched in an elegant script and that extra touch would have completed the Bambi charm perfectly!Īs with the Bambi charm, the PANDORA Disney Thumper charm is an exceptional design! Sitting in his typical pose, Thumper’s ears are nestled neatly near to the bale and he is holding his paws up ready for action. My one small disappointment with the PANDORA Disney Bambi charm is that the centre of the bale has been left plain. On the other side of the bale the ‘PANDORA’ and ‘S925 ALE’ hallmark are engraved. The ©Disney hallmark is situated on one side of the charms bale. I am really pleased that the hallmarks are engraved on the bale and as it stops them from interfering with the creative elements of the charm. In this view the fluttering wings of the butterfly are noticeable and we can enjoy Bambi’s puzzled expression as he looks back to the ‘bird’! From this view, the tuft of Bambi’s hair and his alert little ears are also visible. The beauty of the Disney Bambi charm can be appreciated from every angle. Bambi’s spotted markings are clearing visible on both front and back of the PANDORA Disney Bambi charm. Good use of oxidisation on the Bambi charm adds depth and brings our favourite fawn to life. As Bambi is such a svelte creature this stable foundation strengthens the charm and stops it from becoming overly fragile. Tiny flowers and leaves from the meadow are clustered beneath Bambi’s slender legs and provide a pretty support for his feet. The PANDORA Disney Bambi Charm is ridiculously cute and the attention to detail is amazing! The charms perfectly depicts a scene from the 1942 version of Bambi Bambi is practicing saying “bird” when he spies a butterfly and chases it, calling “Bird, bird, bird…” until it lands softly on his tail and Thumper teaches him that it’s not a bird but a butterfly!
As Bambi and Thumper are best friends it would be unkind to separate them and so I will review both the PANDORA Disney Bambiand Thumper charms together. Both charms were released as part of the PANDORA Disney Winter 2017 Collection, yet these simple silver cuties can be worn all year round.
